After more than 15 years developing satcom and connectivity STC’s for Airlines, Satcom service providers, Satcom hardware OEMs and MROs, we are pioneers in releasing large satcom STCs (KA/KU).

In our history, EAD Aerospace – an Eclipse company – has always provided innovative and “outside the box” thinking, whilst maintaining total respect of aircraft safety and regulatory rules issued by EASA and FAA. That led EAD Aerospace to engineer the Satcom Universal Mounting System (SUMS).

Current generation Ka and Ku band satcom systems are allowing for far greater connectivity in the air. However, this technology comes with the complexities of fuselage-mounted very large antennas. Associated modifications can ultimately result in significantly increased fuel burn, limitation of airframe life, addition of costly and repetitive maintenance tasks, limitation of re-sale and/ or leasing options, and impact on long term service options.

Thanks to experience gathered over the last 15 years of connectivity related Part 21 projects, EAD Aerospace developed a revolutionary new design for the Honeywell Jetwave Ka-Band FMA (Fuselage Mounted Antenna) Satcom installation system to mitigate this risk.

100% ARINC791 from the internal structural reinforcements  to the attachment of the baseplate on the fuselage.

Top Of Frames Installations :

Lighter installation, less intrusive, less parts, floating concept, attachments of the Arinc791 baseplate on the top of aircraft frames.
